Portuguese Food at Quinta da Luz in Edingen-Neckarhausen

Portuguese Food in Edingen

No need to fly to Lisbon or Algarve if you are craving some Portuguese food, just come to Edingen-Neckarhausen!

Mr Bernadino, the owner of Quinta da Luz, presented our group of 31 with 5 different types of appetizers – dips, prawns with garlic, octopus salad, pan-fried liver and deep-fried whitebait.  The prawns are some of the best I have had in Germany!  For our main course, we got to choose one from five dishes – freshly-grilled sea bass, braised sea bream, grilled Iberico pork shoulder, Irish beef entrecôte, braised lamb shoulder and pan-fried rabbit.  The portions were generous – all of us were too full for dessert afterwards!

Everyone enjoyed their meal – fresh seafood cooked to perfection, and hearty country fare washed down beautifully with red wine with an attitude of a seasoned sailor.

Reservations are a must, and be sure to have some time on your hands because everything is freshly-prepared.  Mr Bernadino has an extensive list of “vinho” in his cellar – be it “tinto”, “branco”, “rosé”, “verde” or “maduro”, there is sure to be one to complement your meal!
