St. Patrick’s Day observes of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Meanwhile, this holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green.
So wear some green, and join Food Explorers in this Irish-themed “Cook-and-Dine” session as we celebrate St Patrick’s Day early this year!
When: Saturday, March 22nd, starting at 18.00 hours till about 22.30 hours thereabouts
Where: Diana’s and Andy’s home in Plankstadt (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: In honour of St Patrick’s Day, we will be making an “Irish Beef Stew” with an Irish beer like Guinness (it’s the perfect base). “Colcannon” is a must-have, an Irish mashed potato recipe mixed with greens and scallions, along with some freshly-baked “Irish soda bread” for a taste of Ireland. For dessert, we’ll have more Guinness paired with chocolate in form of “Guinness Chocolate Mousse“, accompanied by the “king and queen” of St. Patrick’s day – whiskey and coffee in “Irish Coffee“!
There is space for 10 participants. Once you have registered, make sure to let us know if you have any special dietary requests so that we may adjust the menu accordingly.
The list of participants will be finalised two weeks before event date.
Thanks!
