Fresh citrus fruits are at their best during winter months, but they add a refreshing flavour to recipes any time of year. A splash of citrus gives a delightful tang to balance out anything sweet or salty. There are hundreds of ways to use citrus in cooking and they span cultures and nationalities, types of dishes, and ways of preparation including dried, candied, preserved, baked, and juiced.
When: Friday, April 21st 2023, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Ligia’s home in Heidelberg (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: In this session, Ligia introduces us to a few delicious recipes showcasing the magic of citrus fruits. Using fresh, flavorful ingredients, we will prepare a seasonal salad with oranges and endive, a popular “comfort food” main course of lemony chicken served with mashed potatoes, and a decadent pairing of chocolate-and-lemon for dessert.
There is space for 10 participants. Contact me from March 21st onwards to register, and let me know if you have any food allergies. The list of participants will be finalised April 7th.
