Bonjour!
With its colorful history marked with Portuguese occupation, French colonization and foreign influence, La Réunion is a real melting pot of various culinary traditions. A French foundation enriched with Malagasy customs, Chinese know-how and Indian spices – our tastebuds are in for a culinary adventure!
When: Wednesday, December 6th, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Ingrid’s home in Leimen (address will be provided to those attending)
What: We start our meal with “Gratin Chouchou” (if chayotes can be found). For main course, we will prepare the traditional trio of Réunionese cuisine – rice, beans and “Rougail” – along with some “bréde“. Ingrid will share with us recipes for “Rougail Morue” (a spicy tomato-based dish with salty cod fish) and “Rougail Tomate“. Our Réunionese adventure concludes with some “Gâteau Sosso” – a corn cake that goes great with coffee or tea!
There are 6 spots available in this session.
Merci!
Faeimm Tang
