Namaste!

We go on a spice trail to the region of Punjab in South Asia, which is world-renowned for its delicious hearty meals.  Bring an appetite to sample some different flavours and textures of the symphony of spices that is Punjabi cuisine.

Punjab Fact Sheet

When:  Saturday, 11th February 2016 starting from 1900 hours

Where:  Amar Palace, Schwetzinger Strasse 7, 68519 Viernheim
www.amar-palace.de

What:  Munch on crunchy “Pakoras”, “Samosas” and “Onion Bhaji” while our juicy “Chicken Tikka Hariali” sizzles in the tandoor.  Warm up our tastebuds with the tantalizing “Lamb Passanda”, a dish served in the court of Mughal Emperors.  For some excitement, challenge the devilishly spicy “Chicken Vindaloo” (a Punjabi interpretation of a curry from the Indian region of Goa).  Alongside the traditional “Bindi” (lady’s fingers with onions and spices), enjoy some comforting “Bengan Bharta” (mashed tandoor-grilled aubergine with spices).

Our meal will be served family style, accompanied by fragrant basmati rice and freshly-made naan to mop up the delicious sauces. Remember to save some tummy space for dessert – choose either the decadent “Gulab Jamun” – deep-fried milkballs soaked in honey and rose water, or the refreshing “Firni” – a pudding made with coarse rice paste, milk, sugar, almonds and cardamom.

Are your tastebuds piqued? If yes, come join us!  The meal costs 23 Euro per person for members (food only); non-members pay 28 Euro per person. You may pay for your drinks at the restaurant.

Register by Friday February 3rd, 2017 to secure your seats, thanks!

Best wishes,
