Rice dishes play a central role in Korean cuisine, reflecting the importance of rice as a staple food in Korean culture. A much loved and iconic dish is “bibimbap” – it is not only enjoyed in traditional restaurants but also commonly prepared and eaten at home. Bibimbap’s appeal lies in its versatility, allowing individuals to customise it according to their preferences.
When: Saturday, October 26th 2024, starting at 18.00 till about 22.30 thereabouts
Where: Faeimm and Mario’s home in Nussloch (address will be provided to those attending)
What: In this Cook-and-Dine session, we will be making “Bibimbap”, a popular South Korean dish. “Bap” is the Korean word for rice, “bi-bim” translates to “mixed”. So “bibimbap” refers to the mixing of various ingredients in the dish. We will also be making some “Pajeon” to whet our appetite and a couple types of quick kimchi to accompany our meal.
There is space for 8 participants. Contact me from September 26th onwards to register, and let me know if you have any special dietary requests so that we may adjust the menu accordingly. The list of participants will be finalised October 12th.
