During cold winter months, food from home always warms us up. This session is dedicated to easy-to-make, delicious comfort food from Colombia.
Colombian cuisine is rich and diverse, thanks to geographical variety, a tropical climate and the influence of many immigrant populations. There are exotic dishes like roasted ants (homiga culona), guinea pig, and fried intestines (chunchillos), as well as comfort foods like corn cakes (arepa) and soups (sancocho).
When: Tuesday, March 12th, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Yaneth’s home in Lambsheim (address will be provided to those attending)
What: As a child, when Yaneth’s mother said “today it’s green beans for lunch”, then the family would look forward to a delicious meal of “Habichuelas guisadas“. This complex, earthy dish goes great with chicken, rice, ripe plantains and pico de gallo.
We’ll be having dessert as well, and it will be a surprise.
There will space for 8 participants.
