Map Unavailable

Date(s) - 23/07/2019
09:30 - 13:00

Ciao a tutti!

Italian food is a cuisine much-loved all over the world.   It combines the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet with a wide choice of seasonal ingredients.  There are many regional variations of cooking throughout Italy – coupled with immigration and the global produce trade, Italian cuisine is now more diverse than ever, and no less authentic!

When:  Tuesday, July 23rd, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts

Where:  Laura’s home in Heidelberg (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)

What:  This session features an Italian menu with a twist, focusing on dishes which require minimal cooking and baking but no less tasty.  We start off with some antipasto – marinated olives, washed down with a Bellini cocktail (a famous Venetian drink made with prosecco and white peaches).  Our Primo is an alternative take on bruschetta, topped with goat’s cheese, roasted grape and walnuts.  For Secondo, we will be making Pasta alla Norma with smoked aubergines – a classic Italian pasta dish with Middle Eastern influences.   Our 4-course menu ends on a sweet note with Cappuccino Pavlova with Amaretto Cream and Crumbled Amaretti.

There is space for 8 participants.  Registration opens end June. The list of participants will be finalised two weeks before event date.
