Hola a todos!

Tamales – small in size but big in flavour.  If you haven’t been to a tamale-making party before, come join us!  Making tamales is a family tradition for special occasions.  It’s a very time-consuming endeavor, so when family members get together, many hands make light work.

When:  Wednesday, October 26th starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts

Where:  Yaneth’s home in Lambsheim (address will be provided to those attending)

What:  Tamales is an important dish in Colombia, so there are many variations throughout the country.  Yaneth’s version is the “Tolimenses” style from Tolima (one of the 32 departments in Colombia), using corn meal and many different meats as fillings – for example chicken, pork ribs and pork belly.  We will be making the ingredients, before wrapping them up with banana leaves into little parcels for cooking.
