Well, they have recently set up shop! When I visited their new location in Bammental sometime mid-February, they had just been open for a week (official opening 07.02.2018).
Food For Soul
Hase Im Mond is still focused on its catering business, so the location serves primarily as the base where they prepare and cook for events. Now that they have their own kitchen at their disposal however, Katja and Guna have the possibility to experiment with new dishes and flavour combinations, which they then offer as lunch specials from Mondays to Fridays between 11:30 and 14:00 hours.
Guests can look forward to Guna’s authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and Katja’s sweet treats prepared with fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients.
The lunch crowd comes from the surrounding residential neighbourhoods and commercial areas. Note that this is not an eatery, so there are neither chairs nor tables available for a sit-down meal. Everything is available for take-away in environmentally-friendly packaging. Nevertheless, Katja and Guna have plans to position some stand tables for guests who want to grab a quick bite on site.
I wish both Katja and Guna much luck at their new location. They have some exciting plans in the pipeline, and I am personally looking forward to sampling more of Hase Im Mond’s delicious creations now that they are serving food in one place!
Contact Hase Im Mond if you would like to receive a copy of the weekly menu. In case you’re in the vicinity of Bammental, just drop in for some “Soul Food” for lunch. Katja and Guna will be happy to see you!
