Caribbean cuisine is a joyful meeting point of cultures, histories, and landscapes. Shaped by African, Indian, European and indigenous Caribbean influences, the food of the Caribbean is as diverse and colorful as the islands themselves. Across the region, cooking is guided by bold spices, tropical ingredients, slow-simmered stews, grilled meats, fresh seafood, rice dishes, and the unmistakable rhythm of sharing food with family and friends. Yet Caribbean cuisine is not defined by a single style. Each island brings its own traditions, flavors, and stories to the table — from smoky and spicy to bright, citrusy, rich, or deeply comforting. What unites them is a sense of warmth, generosity, and celebration.

When:  Saturday, December 5th, starting at 18.00 hours till about 22.30 hours thereabouts

Where:  Diana and Andy’s home in Dielheim (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)

What:   In this Viva la Caraïbe Cook-and-Dine session, we invite you to explore some dishes from the islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The menu will bring together fragrant rice, aromatic curry, grilled seafood, tropical fruits, and a sweet coconut finale. Together, these dishes will create a colorful and satisfying meal that highlights the diversity and character of Caribbean cuisine.

There is space for up to 10 participants. Please contact me to register from November 5th, and share any dietary requirements when signing up.

The list of participants will be finalized two weeks before event date.

Thank you!
