Spanish food is often recognized as one of the top cuisines in the world. Anywhere you go in the country, you will discover food that is packed with flavour and character.
Our Cuisine Expert Judy Linares shares with us some dishes from Andalucía, Spain.
When: Tuesday, September 24th, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Janine’s home in Schwetzingen (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: The theme of this session is “Fiesta Andalucía”, celebrating healthy, hearty, and filling Andalusian food, which is heavily influenced by Arabic cuisine. Situated in the south of the Iberian peninsula with access to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Andalusian cuisine is largely based on fish, meat, olive oil, grains and vegetables.
Judy’s menu kicks off with some “Salmorejo Cordobés“, a cold vegetable soup from Córdoba. Other items on the menu are “Bolsita de Chorizo“, “Arepas de Coco con Aguacate“, and “Gambas al Picante“. “Torta de Santiago” rounds up our quick tour of Andalucía.
There is space for 10 participants. Registration opens end August. The list of participants will be finalised two weeks before event date.
