Chinese New Year festivities last for the first fifteen days of the Chinese lunar calendar. In 2023, the first day falls on January 22nd. This 15-day period is a time of reunions and gatherings with family and friends. As I won’t be going back to Malaysia this year to celebrate with my extended family, I would be honored if you would join me for a “Prosperity Showcase”!
When: Friday, January 27th 2023 (Day 6), starting at 10.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Faeimm’s home in Nußloch (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: As with Food Explorers’ previous Chinese New Year gatherings, each of us take on the challenge to bring a dish with an auspicious meaning to share with everyone. I look forward to brainstorming with you!
I will also be preparing the Chinese Prosperity Salad “Yee Sang” – Chinese New Year will not be complete without doing a Prosperity Toss with my fellow Food Explorers!
