恭禧发财 Gōng Xǐ Fā Cái!
Chinese New Year festivities last for the first fifteen days of the Chinese lunar calendar. In 2024, the first day falls on February 10th. This 15-day period is a time of reunions and gatherings with family and friends. As I won’t be going back to Malaysia this year to celebrate with my extended family, I would be honored if you would join me for a “Prosperity Showcase”!
When: Friday, February 23rd 2024 (Day 14), starting at 10.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Faeimm’s home in Nußloch (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: As with Food Explorers’ previous Chinese New Year gatherings, each of us take on the challenge to bring a dish with an auspicious meaning to share with everyone. I look forward to brainstorming with you!
I will also be preparing the Chinese Prosperity Salad “Yee Sang” – Chinese New Year will not be complete without doing a Prosperity Toss with my fellow Food Explorers!
