Time to fire up the grill our third “Cook-and-Dine” session!
Grilling is an integral part of German summer time culture. As summer kicks off each year, Germans flock to the supermarkets, liquor stores, and butcher shops to stock up on the essentials for their own personal grill parties. On a warm day, smoke from the grill wafts throughout all corners of the country. In fact, hard-core enthusiasts will continue grilling throughout the chilly days of fall!
When: Saturday, September 15th, starting at 18.00am till about 22.30pm thereabouts
Where: Diana’s home in Plankstadt (address will be provided to those attending)
What: When it comes to grilling in Germany, steaks and sausages are popular choices. However, times are changing so many interesting alternatives to the traditional Bratwurst and classic Schweinenackensteak are making their way onto German grills. We will be trying out a few unexpected foods you would normally not grill, including some new takes on side dishes.
There is space for 8 participants, online registration opens mid-August. Once you have registered, make sure to let us know if you have any special dietary requests so that we may adjust the menu accordingly.
