Nigerian cuisine is vibrant, generous and deeply social. Shaped by many regions and traditions, it is known for bold spices, slow-simmered sauces, smoky grilled meats, and a happy balance of heat, sweetness and depth. Meals are rarely just about eating – they are about gathering, sharing and celebrating flavor together.
When: Saturday, March 28th 2026, starting at 18.00 till about 22.30 thereabouts
Where: Marelie’s and Bart’s home in Ludwigshafen (address will be provided to those attending)
What: In this Cook-and-Dine session, we are honored to have Yewande Olusore share a classic Nigerian menu that brings together spice, warmth and contrast. We will begin with a fragrant “Nigerian Pepper Soup” and “Suya”, Nigeria’s famous street-food style grilled meat coated in aromatic suya spice. For our main course, we will prepare the centerpiece of many Nigerian celebrations – “Jollof Rice”. To accompany it, there will be grilled turkey, alongside the much-loved “Gizdodo”, plus a fresh coleslaw for balance. To finish, we’ll keep things light and playful with some “Puff-Puff.”
There is space for up to 10 participants. Contact me to register February 28th onwards. Please share any dietary needs when registering. The participant list will be finalized March 14th.
Thanks!
