As the weather in the British Isles is on the chillier side most of the year, its traditional cuisine has a reputation for being heartwarming, filling, and satisfying to the palate.
Seeing that it’s winter, we have chosen “British Comfort Foods” as the theme of this “Cook-and-Lunch” session.
When: Friday, January 20th 2023, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Ginny’s home in Weinheim (address will be provided to those attending one week before the event begins)
What: Being an island surrounded by some of the richest fishing areas of the world, fish is important to the British diet. Given that the UK is famous for its heartwarming pies, it’s no surprise that fish pie is also a popular comfort food. Sometimes called “Fisherman’s Pie”, it is a seafood spin on shepherd’s pie. The Brits love their sweet after-dinner treats, so Ginny has picked a classic for us to make – sticky toffee pudding!
There is space for 8 participants. Registration opens December 20th 2022 onwards, contact me to register. The list of participants will be finalised January 6th 2023.
Thank you!
