The eastern provinces of Canada, known as the Maritimes, are separated from the rest of the country by low mountain ranges. Fresh seafood is abundant along the Atlantic coast, and the lobster here is world-renowned. While for most people, it’s an expensive luxury associated with fine dining, Atlantic Canadians have long viewed lobster as a much more humble food. Typically, it is cooked fresh and served at room temperature with a potato salad.
When: Thursday, October 12th, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Dani’s home in Nußloch (address will be provided to those attending)
What: As we are not in New Brunswick and lobster is quite expensive here, we will enjoy the delicious flavour of lobster as a risotto. We will also be making quahog stew – a dish made with a special type of clams which Maritimers enjoy when the weather starts cooling down. Butterscotch pie completes our Canadian meal.
There are 11 spots available in this session. Online registration is now open.
Cheers!
