Due to its colorful history marked with several occupations, colonization period and foreign influence, Vietnam is a real melting pot of various culinary traditions. From a complicated Chinese to a delicate Japanese, a bit over-spiced Thai, highly distinctive Cambodian, beautiful Indian and super gastronomic French.
When: Wednesday, June 20th, starting at 9.30am till about 1.00pm thereabouts
Where: Tracey’s home in Hirschberg (address will be provided to those attending)
What: We will be making Vietnam’s unofficial national dish Phở Bo. Variations of this classic noodle soup are found throughout Vietnam. The noodles were introduced by Cantonese immigrants, but the soup itself originated from the province of Nam Dinh in northern Vietnam, not far from Hanoi.
The secret to this seriously satisfying soup lies in its fabulously clear but flavorful broth. Join us for a hands-on experience in creating the perfect bowl of Phở, complete with silky rice-flour noodles and crunchy sprouts, with morsels of tender beef, all perfumed with herbs and lime.
There is space for 6 participants, online registration opens end May.
